Second major solar farm project won by Sicame Australia

Sicame Australia won a major contract for the manufacture and supply of IPC (Insulating Piercing Connector) connection systems and direct current connection cabinets supplied by Seifel for the solar farm project in Numurkah. Located in southern Australia, this private solar farm will produce a peak power output of 128 MW.

It will include 350,000 solar panels spread over a 500-hectare site and will produce enough clean energy to power 42,000 homes. The project management, Downer Utilities, awarded the contract to Sicame Australia in September for delivery to the site between November and the end of January 2019.The project involves several thousand connection systems (manufactured in Brisbane) and more than one hundred DC connection cabinets (manufactured by Seifel in Saint-Malo).

Sicame Australia must also train and assist the teams of installers during assembly at the site to ensure that the project is executed and commissioned in accordance with all applicable standards. This is Sicame Australia's second major solar project with Downer Utilities after a relationship of trust was established between the two companies thanks to the success of the first project.
